When you are initially set up with email I set a password for you, or one is provided by your organisation. If I set up an email password for you, it will generally be a complex sequence of characters which is not easy for you to remember. If you only use Outlook then it does not matter. If however you want to use WebMail, then it is important that you have a memorable password, because you will need it when you login.
There are two ways you can reset your password. One is by asking the person in your office who manages your site to reset it. They will access something called the control panel, and from there they can reset it. Alternatively you can do it yourself.
Go to your home page. Look at the top of the browser window where the URL is for your website and add at the end “/webmail” without the quotes.
This will take you to the webmail login screen. Enter your full email address and the password you have been given.
This allows you to access your email online through any web browser. Your screen will look like this:
Choose the first icon on the left Change Password to change your password. Follow the instructions to reset your password to something else. Do please use a complicated password. Use the search facility on this website and search for passwords for some ideas. If you choose something simple, your email may be hacked. This is the reason why you were given a complicated password.
Also note that from this screen you can forward your email to somewhere else, you can set up an out of office message using the Auto Responder, and find out how to configure your email client.
Do remember though, that if you have changed your email password, then you will need to change it on all of the devices that access your mail which includes outlook. So do make a note of it somewhere.
